Well, I sold mine last week on ebay for 360 with 1gb microdrive. i guess i was expecting 400 or something. if u make a proper listing on ebay and put big pics of your real camera then u can get more than expected.

item #3821476187 on ebay.

i hope this helps

Its even worse. it sold for 330 only. but if i had made the listing a litter cleaner i could get 380 or more. u can use some tricks in the title like

"CANON POWERSHOT G2 NOT G3 Or G5" to get more hits.

u know  (its not allowed though)

I think it is a great call to buy one frankly. The latest version (the G5) is a great camera but just marginally better than the G2 (sorry). 4 megapixels is awesome and gives you a lot of flexibility. The optics are so wonderful on this series of cameras that you get a lot more than the 4MP implies. It has more settings then most people will use so you should be fine there. In addition, you may find yourself in the same situation that many people do which is that the camera makes photography so fun that you want an even nicer camera. Then you will more readily part with your $400 G2 and step up to a camera that suit you better.

Ain't that the truth, I am shopping for a 10D still ( no rush as my G2 is fantastic ) but I am torn by selling it and putting proceeds towards the 10D or keeping it.

Maybe the 10D will be too much for me and my casual hobby and family use?

Guys ... WHY ?

Guys ,

I own a G2 that do a superb job .
You can see how good it is only if you compare its picture with any of the 8M new cameras . Believe me , the G2 performs better then all of them .

I'm thinking too to get a DSLR (probably D10 Mark II or even more ) but in any way I'll not sell my G2 . I simple can't do it ...

And come on guys ... are you ready to sell your G2 for a such funny price ....Its real shouldn't be lower than $600 ... You already know how it performs , don't you ?

Ilan

Yeah ... that's it ...

Duke - Yes ... Take in consideration that you own a great piece of engineering .

And I hope that you offer of $1699.00 does not includes additional accessories as supplementary CF cards , lens or filters ...
In fact , because the superb battery life of Canon's original battery , I advise you not to include it as well in this price . You can sell it separatelly for $59.90 .

Good luck !
