I am using a mac g4 powerbook with my lightroom files all on a lacie hard drive recently i noticed a slow down in the loading and zooming of my images and then disaster when i printed A3 fineart to my epson 3800 the laptop went to sleep and the print was only half way through although when i printed A4 lustre the print worked ok.This has me wondering is this just due to the fact that my laptop ram 1gb DDR SDRAM is insufficent to handle the raw files? I have 1.67GHz of processing power. Now i fear a crash every time as the laptop has gone to sleep a number of times since..A possible bug?I dont know.I am connected to the lacie with a 800 fire wire but i think the mac only supports a 400..Any suggestions or is it time to get a new mac..
