I took this shot this afternoon with my 350D, Tamron 70-300, and 430 flash. I have been trying to figure this macro thing out and am almost there. I need a few more gizmos before I can get a good clean shot. This one is not quite as crisp as I would like, but I am excited because it is my best yet!! I have been picking up a lot of good advice on this site. It's kind of funny - many (well most) of the shots I see on this site are more than worthy of publishing. I had no idea there were so many good photogs out there. Hope to be one myself some day.
This next shot was an ant that crawled on my Sigma 17-70 lens and he is ALMOST in focus. He is actually walking on the UV filter. I beleive I had a little bit of extension tube on it. The lens focuses REALLY close. Too - close - pissed the ants off and they hopped a ride on my camera.
I need to get a flash bracket and some more reversing rings before I can get a really close and crisp shot. Working on it. Any suggestions?
GREAT SITE!!
