I don't post my wedding shots. I'm not brave. Well, the truth is, I haven't been shooting much lately. I'm gearing up for my son's wedding in 1 week! I need a drink. I just bought another 4 gb CF card. I have 4 now, can only find 3. I am totally erasing everything on my P-2000 and I bought a 500 gb My Book backup. You think I'm prepared enough?

Ummm...almost. You are going to need a photog's formal dress. The kind that is incognito with all the pockets for all your gear; lenses, back up body, flash and such.

So if you get banished to the wedding forum for being bad, what do we do, us who only hang here and not in the rest of the forum, when we are bad?

Not quite!:o My new daughter-in-law wants me to wear fuchsia and black, exactly the same as her mother. Sounds like a weird plan, but hey, I'm only the mother of the broom. And yes, invisible as much as possible because I absolutely HATE pink:evil::evil::evil: but will do anything for my sweet new daughter-in-law.

This is my first wedding and I'm trying to keep a cool head, but I'm seriously considering buying a POTN camouflage vest. ;)

Suzy, your son's a broom?

Does that make you a mop?;)

Adorama has a nice tuxedo vest that's been converted to a photographer's vest. Get a fuchsia cummerbund on black blouse and slacks and you're good to go!

My typing is leaving a lot to be desired these days. I have very long nails for preparation for the wedding. You should hear my terrible piano playing lately. :(

Jon, that does sound like a good idea. But with the wedding so close, I think I'm going to let Jim do most of the work. I dare say I will have a couple of bags of gear, but hope I don't have the temptation to take anything out.

Well, I hope it all turns out okay. The camo POTN vest may work if you're outdoors against some vegetation:rolleyes:. Now, if you give into temptation and take some gear out at some point during the wedding, you know that you are now obligated to show us some shots.:D

Wow, Jon! Thanks for the tip! Josh's wedding is in Sept. They've hired a real hotshot photog for the occasion, but I think the vest idea is super. Strike the fuchsia accessories though- make mine copper or some such. So thrilled they chose autumn colors. I love my Jess, but it would be so hard to wear pink

Since you don't have the same bride-requested dress code Suzie's got, whatever works. If you don't have a specific colour scheme to meet, you might consider a copper blouse, or white blouse and the copper cummerbund/sash.

Ann will never believe I'm giving ladies' fashion tips . . . :{)#

I like to wear blue and black most of the time so pink is about as bad as it gets for me. And don't worry, I am planning to run around with my 5D and will definitely post. Jim will, too, I'm sure. And if Jon comes on Saturday, we can all post the pre-wedding test shots. :)
