I was listening to Leo Laporte on XM radio yesterday, and he was complaining that every time he buys something, it is discontinued or replaced with something better. He went on to say he'd just gotten a 5D, and Canon just announced a 5D MkII.

Have I missed something?

You were gone awhile, but not that long  Oh, I drove by your neck of the woods again last week on the way home from Phoenix, but you were not there

I would've waved if I'd known.

Hey...that radio guy stole MY affliction :-) It is ME who buys stuff that is replaced with an upgraded model the very next day. I have been holding off buying a 5D this time and so Canon got wind of this and have put off the release of the 5DMkII until they know I've weakened. (Anyway I'm pretty sure the release date for the Canon 5D MkII will be on the 22nd of August. How do I know? Well I plan on weakening on August 21st and buying a 5D then.)
