Hi Brian,
My parents saved the paper for me and told me about the pictures, the first thing I said was "there is a guy called Lord V takes pictures like that. As soon as I saw them I knew they were yours, well done.

Many congratulations Brian!! I was at my camera club tuesday and the members were passing the paper around and as soon as I saw the photos I said "I know who took those, that's Brians work" and proceeded to explain to all the club how you get these amazing shots :D

Cameragirl - what did non macro shooters think of them ?
Actually had a lady come up the drive Yesterday when i was out with the camera, and ask me if I was the one with the pics in the paper she lives in the flats over the road and had seen me pottering around taking pics and put two and two together :)

They were fascinated by the shots, we have a fairly large majority of beginners so they were interested to know how they were done, I've sent them a link to your tutorial - it may be a bit over their heads at the moment, but it's something that they can try out at a later date when they feel more experienced.
They are all a very eager bunch to learn new things, so hopefully some of them will give your technique a try some time.
