Some stop-action shots after the rain taken at a house near Ashville, NC. I loved the view of the mountains and low lying clouds in the background. There are a couple more that looked like little firework explosions if you like these.

Funny, Sirsloop. Lucky for me it was a rental...no maintenance, just a nice view and satellite TV for when the sun goes down.

Zippy, thanks for the compliment. I like the first one too...the splash looks like a drinking glass that's disintegrating or something. Shutter speed was 1/320 second on those.

Here is one more from that series with a longer shutter speed (1/50s).

Stunning shots m8. But would you mind humouring me here and cropping everything apart from the 2 splashes out in the last one.
I think it would look amazing like that.

Love the 1st and 2nd shots. Though it would be awesome if you spaced your shots out a little. I can't tell where each frame ends. =T

Heh, thanks Craig and laxx, I spaced the shots out as requested :) and will work on a crop of the last one. You may not see it very well but there is a 3rd drop happening in mid-air and it looks like a mini explosion. It's probably more of a distraction next to those two meteorites.

Cheers,
Joe

Love them all! Think how the drops are so crisp, and you can just make teh mountains out in teh background. Good job!

How did you acheive that. Fast shutter and luck with timming, also how did you get focus?
