I missed out on B&H sale of $875 by one day! I had it in my cart for the sale price, but they were not accepting orders online. When it reopen, the price went back to regular price of $1,000!

Anyone know of any new B&H PS codes or deals out there? I wouldn't mind paying $950 for it, since that'll be like getting the hood for free

www.buydig.com (external link) has it for $969.00 with free fedex 2-3 day shipping --- that's where i got mine (but when i got it, it was $949.99)

still a good deal though (and really fast shipping)

Wow...buydig just went up. I bought mine from them two weeks ago for $899. I'd wait a bit and see if it goes back down.

You may have got it during the instant rebate period? ended on July 16 or 17.

I had the Tamron and it is a sharp lens. I upgraded to the Canon for the IS during the rebates. If you see a great deal, buy it quickly because it will go away.

Yep...took me three tries to get a good copy of the lens, but it all worked out in the end...especially since the first two (returned) lenses were $915 and when I bought the third one it dropped to $899. :)

I don't know if I should just click the submit order button now, or wait for the next PS codes. I see that B&H will be at an upcoming show (WEVA International show) on 8/14. So hopefully they have out a new round of PS codes. I'm not really in a rush to buy the lens, so I think I can wait another 2 weeks. I would hate to order it and find it $100 cheapers 2 weeks later!

I did not no that. Thanks so much for the heads up. Looks like I'll be returning this and most likely going through a huge hasel but that's again for the info.

What are PS codes? Sorry, I never bought anything from B&H. Do they usually give this out after the show? Thanks.
