Canon Canada rebates extended?

Just wondering if I'm imagining things... but did they extend the rebate period to September 3rd from July 31st? I could have sworn it was to end today.

last week, i saw it was only til today. have not seen anything that said to Sep 3. but it was suppose to end on jun 30. so could be another extension.

is there a reason that these rebates have been extended... is something new in the works.. am just speculating... i was hoping for a price drop ... but oh well...

OK, so I'm not the only one that saw it as ending as of today previously.

This is twice now that I have survived the "end of the sale" impulse to get the 5D. Now I have to go through this again?!?!? This is really hard on the system!

Well, by Sept I may have the justification for this much money for something I already have (camera body).
