Got away from the office and swam for an hour. Then on my way out, I hear a K9 friend was getting shot at on the other side of town, so I spent all my adrenaline trying to follow the black and white car madness, only to find he and his partner are ok. (Good rush, it made swimming look like a nap).

So I am good for exercise. Was going to Hotdog, but decided on a small white rice bowl. My stomach went Ahww...

:) No photos today though, sorry.

Very nice Athena. Well done. :)

I erred last night with family over though it is my only real bad time in over a week. I had a BBQ'd burger on a bun, 2 cobs of corn, 1/3 of a baked potato, Caesar salad (with the creamy dressing) and a big scoop of ice cream with stewed rhubarb on top. It was sure yummy, but now I must be good for the rest of the week. :)

Yay! I maintained during the fair which was my goal. No weight loss, but; more importantly, no gain.

Good stuff Becky, did you get to eat any of those disgusting, yet surprisingly yummy, corn dogs and mini doughnuts? :D

IF that is the worst meal from the week then you did quite well Jim.

Thanks Jim and Mike. I made some major adjustments to when I take my thyroid medication, what/how I eat, and my level of activity. I feel pretty comfortable with the changes, so hopefully the weight will keep coming off.

Having family around seems to be the most assured way of crashing a diet, lol. I will be at my mom's this weekend and I'm already saving up calories so I can eat cake. :D

Very good! I would gain 5 pounds at a fair, I think.

I think we are going to be here for the county fair. As much as I hate crowds I feel like I have to take the boys so they can experience it - seriously American culture! I'll HAVE to eat a funnel cake. :D

Wow. I am in awe. Seriously. I didn't go to fair this year. I can never resist the fry bread when I do.

Have to agree with Mike on this Jim :) If this is the worst of it, you are way ahead of the game.

I didn't do to bad yesterday, sensible breakfast and lunch (skrimping on calories because of staying at my aunts house this week), dinner was reasonable and I had a bit of ice cream, too. :)
Got in 2 walks yesterday; morning was a 15 minute brisk walk, evening was a 30 minute not-so-brisk walk with my uncle.

Hey, sounds like everyone is doing pretty good here! :) And lots of good habits in the making, too. I also like salads and I often buy the pre-packaged lettuce or just a pre-packaged salad of some sort from the deli.

After my 70 calorie breakfast I stuck it out and had a 250 calorie lunch. Then went walking, then went to the Y to work out. Got weighed and I'm 1.5 pounds lighter than last week. :D Of course, I suspect one pound of the loss is just because I have less food in my innards, lol. I let myself have a 500 calorie supper, so I'm a happy camper again. I'll be glad to be on my regular schedule the rest of the week.

cool, is that your 2nd week weigh in or just a random one?

Yes, second week weigh-in. I only weigh on Tuesdays. The Y has a neato digital scale. :D

Not a fan of either. Did have ice cream every evening in a dish, not a cone, but; resisted the polish sausage and baked potato. Also, I did a lot of walking, standing, and sweating, it was 90+F everyday and heat indexes near 100,
