I'm excited that football season is almost here. The 49ers have been doing a lot of upgrades and changes promising for a better season this year.

I have a feeling that this is the season they will finally make the playoffs after many years of "rebuilding".

Some pics, full album can be seen HERE (external link)

Getting fired up just thinking about the upcoming season!
I'll be going to Bears camp this weekend, hope my pics look as good as these!

Sweet pics 4x4! I think the Niners will be pretty good this year but tough break(pardon the pun) for Gore. Fortunately it should only keep him out of the preseason.

I was at the Patriots training camp this past week. Here is the link:

Fade2 - Access isn't too great at the Bears camp. I've shot there twice (Sunday and tonight), with credentials, and it would seem everybody who works for the Bears is on the sidelines spread out evenly along the entire length of the field, and we photographers are kept back 20 yards. It's like trying to get a clean shot of a running deer in a dense forest. You're lucky to get one or two shots in a burst without interference, and even then people partially block your shot. And you can't shoot from the end zone 'cuz the scrimmage takes place at midfield.

if you have a long lens, the best pace to shoot from may be the top of the bleachers.

I can't wait for the regular season where "normal" access rules apply, and the teams/coaches, et al are kept between the 25 yards lines, and photog's can get within 3 yards of the sidelines and the rest of the field.

Oh and these are nice shots, BTW.

Great shots, more faces would be nice, but I love the clarity and color...

Thanks fade2 and buzzed.

Yeah like Dennis said, long lens is the best especially if you can sit a little higher on top.

Sitting in the front row bleacher is nice but there are ton of people walking back and forth infront of you.

buzzed, your pics are nice but too bad you couldn't get closer. Closeup of Brady would be really nice. :)

Thanks Lisa,

The coaches were on the other side and I don't know if it was by design or what but 8 out of 10, each time a receiver turned around to catch the ball, he always seemed to turn to the side with the coaches and other players. Maybe to impress them more???

A couple more with face

The camp was packed and the best I could do was the top of the bleachers. I have to get myself one of those long white primes.

Really like the faces on these. I envy the openness of your access, and clearly you made the best of it.

Thanks Dennis. We can't walk on the field but the first row of the bleachers are very close to the action. They rope the sideline and no one can stand there so except for when people walking back and forth infront of you, it's a clear view to the practice. There were many times when the players came too close and I got blurry pics due to MFD :)

Ok, here's another one for you... #54 Roderick Green OLB. I'm asking about him and Delanie because they went to my university (University of Central Missouri, Div II). Thanks.
