I've found snails fascinating and destructive. If only they'd eat the weeds.

A thrush used my doorstep as a snail bashing post, so there are always plenty of broken shells. When coming home in the dark, I find it never pays to investigate that crunch too closely. The shell is not always empty...

Dunno about cute Brian but snails for all their slimy trails have to be the cleanest looking bugs on this planet.
