Great series! One of the aphids in the 3rd image was just finishing molting. :)

Danny, I'm not sure what the Mag. was, I used a reversed kit lens, set at about 30mm.

Overkill, no tubes, just a reversed kit lens.

Think you get near 3:1 like that- next time take a pic of the mm scale of a ruler then mag= sensor width mm/mm across pic. For a 1.6 crop camera sensor width= 22.5mm

super shots Trevor, I never seen a hoverfly beat a spider :-) I guess it's never going to happen. You can almost see the pain on the aphids face in the second ladybird shot.
