For the life of me i cannot remember the name of the canon PP cd that came in the xt kit box. I have canon programs saved in my computer (zoombroser ex, raw image converter, remote capture, photo record, photostitch 3.1) Any of these programs come with the xt software? Im glad i found a raw converter but it looks like it just converts them from raw to .jpg. I'de like to be able to adjust some whitebalance issues im having with HID outdoor lighting. Is there a program like this on the canon cd?

BTW, i cannot find the CD at this moment, thats why im asking. Im hoping i'll find it tomorrow.

Um... did you read the manual? DPP comes on the CD (Digital Photo Professional), that's the RAW converter that'll let you tweak the images before JPG conversion. The other programs you list also come on the CD.

adjust the raw images i took, mostly the white balance. None of the xt's settings at night help with the white hid street lamps. All come out greenish. I've tried custom wb, but it's still a pita to get it the right color. I was hoping to use the software to do this. Canon's site doesn't offer the download of DPP, just the updates for the program.

Yes that's right, you have to have the original CD. Other than that you can download a trial version of any of the RAW image processors, CS3, DxO Optics, Breeze Browser, etc.

It'll be in the last place you look. You know why? Because only an idiot would keep looking once they found it :D

The DPP download on the Canon site is the complete application, not just an upgrade. They call it an upgrade because it won't install unless you have older Canon s/w on your HD, however if you have Zoombrowser installed that should fulfill the requirement. If you have a problem read this:
