I'm not sure but I do believe that there was an 18-55 IS but it was only available in Japan.

...the camera is total pony...

While many people would like a pony, i'm not if it can be considered an upgrade or sidegrade or an entirely different beast :)

The latest from Northern Lights - it seems that a popular "big-box" store is gearing up for the 40D on September 2nd. The original rumor has it selling with the 28-135 IS for $1599 (why the 28-135, I don't know), though that isn't mentioned in the captured image:

Northlight has backed off on that lens and now says the $1599.00 is for the body only!:lol::lol:

It does get fun this close to announcement with all of the rumors flying! It will be very interesting to see what we get and for how much!

I really love this!

Hmm.. I have a good friend working as one of the Geek Squad at that particular big box store. Maybe he can do a bit of poking around for me. ;)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Nice going. Something that isn't a rumour. Doesn't tell us much but at least its verifiable. :)

And, September 2nd isn't very far off. We need a drum roll smiley.

Entries to that database are submitted by regular users just like us. There is no verification of the info being correct, so I wouldn't get too excited about it.
