Nice set of shots. I cant help you with the ID unfortunatley and ive never seen one on my travels, but i like the second..really nice detail.

This looks like the Yellow/Black Bellied Shrunken Headed Wasp Fly. Just kiding. It wasn't in my insect book. I also love the second shot. Super detail. --Rick

I think I have found it by looking at my own fly gallery for a similar fly and then checking others of the same family Sciaridae in Diptera.info gallery
