Quick question for someone that might know...

I read the FAQ and couldn't discern my answer

30D, Tamron 28-300 XR Di f3.5-6.3 and Kenko Teleplus DG 1.5x AF Teleconverter

Good combo? Will Auto focus work? I'm just looking for a little more reach on the far end occasionally.
