Hi all, just back from 2 weeks in Antigua, I always have fun shooting these stilts, very interesting birds.

Thanks for looking, C&C welcome.

Superb shot, they are extremely handsome and unique birds. Love the posture and BG on this. Nice low angle (though they look tall enough that all shots should be low angle!

Very nice shot, sharp with good exposure, and one of my favourite shorebirds! I love the eyes on this bird and you captured it well. My only small nit is I would like to see a bit more space below the feet but this is minor. :-)

Why do they call them stilts?

Beautiful shot and I love what a 5D does to an image. :)

Very nice shot. I love this bird but I've now missed three opportunities to photograph one. Oh well, maybe 4 will be my lucky number. In the meantime, very well done!

That is some nice shot. I have been trying for the longest at the irvine sanctuary for a shot like that, but no cigar! That 5D is not point and shoot...;)

..and above the head, and at left. But don't worry - I still like the shot, and this is a bird I can only wish to see one day...:D

Ok thanks for the feedback Dan, this is really useful to me as I often don't get cropping right, is this any better?
