I am going to be in Florida in late july and would love to take some nice photos of the beach and sunset at the beach. I am an amature and unsure how to go about getting the best photos. I have a cannon G2 with a wide angle and telephoto lense no filters. Any help would be appreciated.

From another amateur:

Get a polarizer which might be helpful with the sunlight reflection on the water.

A tele might be good to catch some candid shots in the beach without being chased by an angry mob.

Shoot mostly at sunset.

Find a nice spot on the beach to sit down with a long drink and and chill out, fix your camera somewhere, press the shutter every so often (using timer) and let the world go by.........100+ shots later you might have a timelapse, that's what I did when we went to Paris http://www.btinternet.com …imelapse/eiffel_tower.htm (external link)

You have a g2 so not sure if it has an intervalvometer as g3 does otherwise just click away every few seconds, its a nice memory of the place to keep. Set camera on lowest resolution as it takes about 150 shots to get a decent timelapse
