Me having a really hard time tracking down dragonflies in my garden. it's sitting on a stick where a sunshade pole should go :) .

Gorgeous shot of the darter - I thought for a minute you had bagged yourself a ruddy darter when I first saw the depth of his colour, he is obviously in full bloom :lol:

Brian, I suppose the elbow firmly planted on the chair back justifies the chair as a camera stabilization device. :D I have to shoot more sitting on my kiester. Good shot Brian.

Thanks Linda- yes think he is in full colour but pretty certain it's just a common darter. First time he's let me near him (may be got used to me :) )

Thanks Irwin- I do strategically place these sticks both from an ease of shooting and BG POV. One minor problem I have is that if I have my light weight pole with me they keep on landing on that, and that's 7 feet tall :)

Thanks Dave- Yes seem to be getting a few more in the garden now- odd whilst the damselflies seemed to have been a bit early this year, the dragonflies seem to have been delayed a bit.

like the stick(perch) setup means you get a nice background
