Taken this afternoon. Difficult blighters to get but im very happy with these. I will post some more when ive processed them. Enjoy. Havent cleaned the dust spots up yet.

All shot with the tamron 90mm, f10, ISO400, 1/160, Pop up flash.

Nice HIF shots it looks like Episyrphus balteatus to me. I think I like #2 best.

Oh and PS - I have finally ordered my Hoverfly book today and should be in shop in a couple of weeks, so it should make it much easier for some ID'ing of the slightly less common ones.

iv been doing this for few days now..looking at your pic i know how much work went in to that!i have been trying to get close ups but haven't succeeded yet..i have sigma 105mm but i just cant see to get that close..

The fourth shot is my favorite. The ring of light in the eyes of the first three is neat. Nice job.
