Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM with Case LP-1224 and Hood ET-74

The best price I've found so far is $1,018 shipped by BuyDig.com (Reliable seller - I bought from them before)

Is this the best price? Or does anyone know any other reliable online seller cheaper than $1,018 shipped?

I would not buy the f.4... I just got the f.2.8 and it is just perfect.

I know it's a personal preference but, why do you say you wouldn't buy the F4?

I did that once with a lens and I was sorry after a while so now I wait until I can get the fastest lens out. I know it is quite a difference in price but it is well worth it. I also made a mistake buying the 70-300 NON IS and after a while I replaced it for the one with IS as I shoot quite a bit under low light.

I have the 2.8, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy the F4.

I had the 2.8IS, sold it, and got the F4IS instead due to weight.

btw, this topic has been beat to death on the lens forum. The bottom line is which lens makes sense for YOUR needs. No one can say definitively one way or another.
