Ohhhhh... we must come to take photos, and drink wine, and chocolate.. well... okay then.... But alas... I seem to fall in 5th place on the list of invited guests..... Suppose I'll pass, as I like to be closer to the top... Darn.. I wanted to photograph the vineyards too... ![]()

When I was in Kindergarten we lived in Anaheim, within walking distance of Disneyland. I still go back there (to Disneyland, not our old house) a lot. Just went there today, even. My mother lived in Trabuco Canyon, near Mission Viejo, for several years until she moved to Florida a couple years ago. Okay... so this is weird because I grew up in Anaheim... my old neighborhood is like the getto now, but... well it wasn't that way back then... I moved to Tustin when I got married... Irvine was high on my list of places to end up, but it was a little too pricey.. South County was booming when we moved to Arizona... I miss the beach mostly.. I used to love to just go and watch the waves and sit.... and rollerblade with my girlfriend... I miss her too. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

My quote was something that I read that made me realize that since I've taken up photography, I see things that I never would have noticed before, things that most people pass by. Too obvious huh? I can visualize someone coming upon somewhere they saw a photo of and not recognizing it because there were actually trees there, whereas in the photo there were not. Something about recording places, events, etc... and then arbitrarily changing them that does not sit well with me. Doc Klepper in the USA
