Two great shots Alby and great to see the eye colour of these wasps.

They are not a subject I feel happy about getting close enough to to take a macro of as they never seem to be very tolerant.

Super shots Alby. As Linda says, that eye colour is fascinating.

Thanks Linda, I couldn't really get any closer if I tried, I was at full stretch over my pond, I would have lost the lot if I had falling in :-)

Thanks Ben, they were taken with My Panasonic FZ8 with a raynox snap on lens, I used the on board flash diffused with a home made diffuser.

Wonderful shots Alby. What is the range of magnification that you can get with your lens diopter combination?

Thanks Again Irwin. I reckon I get about 2:1 on my panasonic. I can use the raynox on my sigma 70-300 with a full set of kenko tubes and get 6.8:1 but DOF is super shallow of course :-( Plus it's nearly as long as a rifle :-)
