Hello,
Last weekend I spent three days in the Scottish Highlands, a beautiful part of the world full of stark mountains, lochs, islands, villages and coasts. The north part is a near wilderness and a beautiful one at that.
I am still learning about photography so from a composition and technique point of view there are likely to be things wrong, but please take a look and tell me what you think.
The view of the Cairngorms National Park and Loch Morlich from near the summit of Cairn Gorm mountain.
Loch Morlich, with the cloud-shrouded mountains of Cairn Gorm and Ben MacDui in the distance.
Loch Assynt in the northern Highlands, with the ruins of the supposedly haunted, medieval Ardvrek Castle on its tiny peninsula in the foreground.
Smoo's Cave, in the far Northwest by the town of Durness. The wooden path leads to a large underground waterfall.
The mountains of Cul Beag and Cul Mor, near the coastal town of Ullapool
Loch Inchard, a sea loch that leads to the Atlantic via the small fishing town of Kinlochbervie.
Quinag in the far north.
The little-known Loch Garry, near Aviemore in the Cairngorms
