Today's best macro shot. I think its a hoverfly.

I shot about 200 macros with my Pro1 today. It's very addicting I must say. I had a few nice ones, but only one that I feel is good enough to share here.

I'm not too sure what it is, but I'll take a guess that it is some sort of hoverfly.

I appreciate any critique you would like to give me to help me take better pictures.

Very cool photo. It's actually a wasp-mimic fly (Spilomyia), same family as hoverflies but sort of a step up :). You can tell by the markings on its eyes.

Lovely shot, it's Spilomyia diophthalma not available in the UK. :-(
