Kit with 28-135 IS - that fits the price. The question I would have in general is why Canon sees fit to put that lens in a kit with an APS-C sensor. Yes, the long end is useful, but 28 mm is not very wide. It's an odd fit.

Then again, if people want that combination, then let 'em have it!

Well, if you google the UPC code it comes up as belonging to Canon.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

10D, 20D and 30D all intro'd at $1,499.00

I'd imagine the same price structure for the next gen...
Sounds like another Aug/September release then (as with 20D)

whats the theories?
10MP, Live view, and dust shaker?

So far it seems like the "40D will be a great camera to update my XTi with when in turns 2 years old next summer.

If you listen to the rumor mill:
10.2MP, digic III, anti-dust, ISO 100-3200, 3inch LCD, liveview, in viewfinder and top LCD ISO, 3 preset custom functions on the mode dial, extra thumb button for AF like 1Dm3, new battery grip, weather sealing, 6.25fps.

Who knows though.

Is it really 1599? That seems a bit hi gh...

If it's with the image stabilizer lens that it's expected to have in the kit, it doesn't sound all that bad. I'd love to see a price for just the body itself though.

sounds too good to be true though. i really doubt the digic III... but i hope the rumors are correct since i wouldnt mind havin a 40d :)

ooh and weather sealing would be nice to fit my 580exII :D

What would be price if they were to have the 18-55 IS lens on it? Would it still be EF-S?

I would say it's true for sure, that is an actual bestbuy screen and all the codes and numbers are right. It says it will be in stock Sept 2nd.

That is a kit, it probably is with the 28-135 lens, I think canon must have a surplus of them that they want to get out of the warehouse, they've been including them with the 30d for a while now. (It is a good lens though)

now the real question is will it knock my socks off...or do i just keep saving for that 5d?......:)
