Dragon Fly -Tubes and 50 f1.8

Shot with 50mm f1.8 @f8 - 400 ISO - no flash

This is my 3rd shot using extension tubes.
I'm pretty excited to enter the true macro world.

Thats a lovely shot.

A very strange brown mark on the frons there - wonder whats happened there.

I've noticed that that "mole" thing is actually pretty common among dragonflies...at least the ones around here.

Anyway that is a cool shot, and you have to get pretty damn close using a 50mm with tubes to get a shot like that. Nice job!

I agree, but you have to get even closer to get this out of focus shot.

Both these shots are uncropped. just resized and minimally sharpened.
