So I realize that I am dealing with fractions of an inch when shooting from 5 feet at F/2.

Is there a table or a tool that I can use that will give me a better idea of DOF that the ones that I've seen. .0998-1.002 is not a good reading for me. These tables just piss me off. I know that I can shoot a subject from that distance at that f/stop so.....

1) How could the DOF be that shallow?

2) Is there at least a table that shows the DOF in fractions of an inch instead of 1000ths of a meter?

#2 is my main concern.
