A fellow POTN'er asked me for confirmation of the measurements of one of my camera bags. I was happy to oblige. Just a few minutes ago the husband saw me as I was taking said measurements and asked if I was already selling it. For some reason I just felt very sheepish letting him know that I was taking the measurements because a member of my camera board wanted to know. I would imagine I would feel the same way if he saw me taking a picture of my camera bag, or even worse - empty boxes. I think it's all pretty fun. But it's a tad bit embarrassing when he sees what I'm doing. I know I am one, but I feel like the biggest nerd.

Has your spouse / significant other / friends / family ever seen you taking a picture of your gear, tripod, bag, or empty boxes? What did they say?

My lovely wife's favorite saying whenever I talk about the forum, as I seem to do all the time: "Get a Life."

Sorry Mary for making you feel like a nerd and getting embarrassed. :D If it makes you feel any better I get the same feeling sometimes. I usually just try to do that stuff when the wife isn't around, but she has become more accustomed to me doing goofy stuff for POTN anyway.

Do it all the time, so he's used to it, lol. Whether it's for a forum or ebay. I used to go out on our deck with a pile of clothes, toys, camera equipment, etc. and take pictures of it all because the lighting was better. Guess I'm lucky that my husband understands I'm a bit 'out there'. ;)

No worries! I was actually laughing at myself afterwards. I used to try and do things like this when the husband's not around. But now he knows and I can now continue to do foolish things in front of him. I guess I deserve it for laughing at him for videotaping his golf swings or when I laughed until tears came out for a good 15 minutes when I discovered this giant bag in the garage was a target bag for his golf swings.
