Great shots. Has anyone ever noticed that those that do grafitti are actually pretty darn good artists? Just wondering...

Hi David

These ppl are very good at what they do, this lane has a youth outreach sentre in it and the businesses allow the artistic graffiti

AlphaChicken wrote in post #3703781 (external link)
Ive noticed that quite a bit. At least those that do the art type of graffiti are good artists. The ones that do the BS tagging and scribbling should be shot though IMHO.

I'm a big fan of doing that kind of powerful, in-your-face, iconic artwork. Stencils, spray paint, etc. But I've never been brave enough or selfish enough to spray it on someone's business.

Around where I live the businesses are privately owned and the town isn't that big, so I wouldn't feel right spraying someone's wall

Thanks for the comments

Man some of those are so vibrant. and to think some of the people doing this aren't even known for the artistic talent they have. These are great shots. They really show off the colors and vibrancy of the graffiti where you're located. There is stuff like that where I live, just not in such great quantities. I think good graffiti adds to a city's fung shui.

Thanks for these shots.
regards,
AlphaChicken

I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot. ;)
My family calls me Hen, but you can call me Chicken. See you out there!

Really great captures -- Aussies almost always seem to post good stuff here on POTN. Why is that?

;)

This area is dedicated to the youths to paint as they like, They are encouraged to express themselves in paint. Some of the work is very good and a pleaseure to look at.
