EXACTLY 2.54 centimeters per inch. Why go approximate for one lousy digit.

A 13×19 inch print would be 33.02×48.26 centimeters. Of course, that's not the way they do it in the rest of the world (outside the U.S.). They have their own standard sizes.

Snarl, growl!!! Was his question too simple for you?

Of course, one could look up either "inch" or "centimeter" in any American dictionary to get the conversion factor. But, of course, one has to think of that.

No question should be too simple for us. If some were, where would we draw the line? And whom would we exclude?

I take it you have a HP printer as well that blows your mind when looking at printing sizes because you don't see 8X10? I uninstalled my printer and said I live in USA so the sizes would be right instead of cm? What's that? No one here seems to know their height in CM but in inches, piece of cake!

Sure I do. I'm approximately 190.5cm tall.

I'm from Japan but I live in the US, and I wish everyone would use the metric system... I know my height in centimeters but not really sure in inches, never too sure how many ounces are in a pound OR in a gallon. And then there's quarts, pints, fathoms, furlongs, US tons which are different from UK tons... the list goes on. 5,280 feet in a mile? Come on!
Seriously, the only other countries that haven't adopted the metric system are Liberia and Myanmar. Isn't it about time?
BUT I agree that the OP's question was one that he should have asked Dr. Google first. He's lucky we're all nice people here

Although in the UK we 'should' be using the metric system, because of our dislike of anything different we seem to either stick with the 'old' measurements, or spend the rest of our lives converting back to them

When we buy prints from a lab they are still quoted in inches - WHY!! ???

I think it's even more schizophrenic than that.

We buy our petrol in litres and I bet almost nobody thinks about gallons these days. (Good job too - the price would be too scary!) But we still buy our milk and our beer in pints.

When newspapers want to run a story about the weather, they tend to use Fahrenheit when it's hot (e.g. 80's) and Centigrade when it's cold (e.g. minus 5). I reckon a lot of people think like that.

Even if you've been brought up with metric units, all cooks know that Imperial units are far more convenient for recipes.

The main problem is rather than just changing over back in the early seventies, we 'farted around' using both systems for many years, in fact we still are with some things, as you say, the temperature measurements! - I do like my pint of Beer tho'!! :-)
