Excellent detail on these but I'd love to see some shots with your 105mm ex of these wonderful damselflies- ie the whole damselfly with some environment space. Always bettrer if you can do both type of shots of the same damsel.

I echo Brian's comments. While close-up shots are great (and these are excellent) a few shots from a greater distance will increase the DOF and allow the viewer to put things into context.

I have often fallen into the trap of trying to get too close, and spoiling the overall effect. With these damsels, the lovely iridescent colours would be brought out by a shot taken a a greater distance, and would compliment the series well.

Just MHO. :)

dont get me wrong i took many with my 105mm but i wasnt happy with any of them so i didnt post em..more pratice today.
