A better style with out a black background

well i have been shoooting with black background,..but looking at few of u mainly lordv u notice on his pics they never have black background..Well this is how i want to shoot..This ring flash i found if i point the heads at the background and 1 at the subject im getting better shots with out the black background...

still not sure about this home made diffuser tho./.is it really making any difference?

Think the shots with the BG lit are better but that's a matter of taste. Can't really tell how well the diffuser is working- you need to do some with/without shots of the same subject. Shots have good focus but you need to work on your composition and angles as mentioned in a previous thread. Do actually like #1 a lot but would have been a lot better with the spider facing the camera instead of away from it

they look a lot better with the colored background. though some shots i think are better with the dark BG. i agree with lordV on the composition. #1 is good, the colors stand out a lot.
