this is for uk members but would like feedback from all
ive just ordered a lens off a uk web dealer.
it was a Nikon for a friend but it could cause problems for anyone buying canon stuff
the lens was £200 cheaper than all other dealers
the price was £779 plus £8 postage.
i put it in the basket and went to the checkout total showed £787.
it came next day, the invoice in the box said £801 and the postage was showing £22
i emailed them to find out why. he responded saying that anything over 2kg carries a postage cost of £22 including insurance and that it stated this on the web site.
i looked and eventually found a link regarding posage and it said items over 2kg would cost £22, it was very hard to find this link.
i emailed back saying that the postage should have been shown in the total price at the checkout, this is what happens on other web sites.
when it says total that is the price i expect to pay.
nowhere on the page does it state that the lens is over 2kg.
ive sent other e mails but he his still saying that the postage costs are shown on the web site.
ive posted a link to the lens in question. pop it in to the basket and go to the checkout and please post your comments
