I.D. On this monster any one

I found this 3" monster crawling around on a holly bush in my back garden this afternoon, quickly stuck on my 150 and took a few shots of it. I'm no insect guru and have no idea what it is; any idea's any one.

Hi Mark, as you say "long time no see" I just decided I was no good at macro. I kept trying but just wasn't getting any better so decided to stop hitting my head against a brick wall and stick to what I know best.

Geat shots Mick but I'd ease up a bit on the sharpening. A couple are showing halo effects.

Eccles:Believe me there's very little on most and no sharpening at all on some, I've had a look on the originals and there does appear to be the same halo on some. It was a very sunny day and I think that's what's giving the halo/light fringing effect, I couldn't sharpen much as it was covered in dust and as soon as I started moving the slider up; the Caterpillar looked like it was in a snow storm. I don't suppose leaving the ISO high after shooting inside a church helped either Thanks for your comment.
