Two shots of the Cardinal that was the pain of my windows this whole summer! She would just not stop hitting the windows 200 times a minute all day long. So what did I do? Grabbed my camera of course. These are two shots taken back in May. The Cardinal has kinda let up on the window kissing. These are two of the few keepers I have since I have not really done too much bird photography and am really just getting into shooting the subject matter....so any C&C greatly appriciated.

I like the first one better. It is a little dark and could use a good crop.

Here is a quick rework on the above suggestions. I think that it looks a little soft since I don't have the best of lenses:oops:.

Robert, she is a he and Cardinals, male or female are very territorial. He probably sees his own reflection in the window and is attacking it. That's not unheard of, not even a rare occurrence. :)

Its a male? I thought the greyish red ones were the males...guess I had it backwards. Thanks for the correction.

Seeing the reflection in the windows is exactly what it saw.

Yes, the bright red ones are males, the tan and orangish red ones are females. Usually always together. :)
