This is part of artist Antony Gormley's "Event Horizon" which has seen 31 of his self-sculpture's located on rooftops and in public spaces around the Southbank Centre, where the The Hayward is hosting his "Blind Light" exhibition.

This one is one of two standing on Waterloo Bridge.

They were installed in May but sadly will be leaving soon when the exhibition ends on August 19th.

Michael.

i really like the second one. Great original night shot. It would be nice to see some close ups of the sculpture, especially with that great light coming from the left and the traffic trails on the right. Good job :)

I love #1. Very clever perspective and titling. :)

Unfortunately you will have to be quick as this Sunday is the final day of the exhibition and I would guess the two sculptures on Waterloo Bridge (there is another one on the Westminster end) will be amongst the first to be taken down.

I wish it could be made permanent, like Gormley's "Another Place" on Crosby Beach near Liverpool where he has 100 of his sculptures looking out to sea. I am not sure if he would want to though even if he could get planning permission.

Michael.
