While waiting off the end of the main runway at Canadian Forces Base Trenton (Ontario) this evening (7:54 p.m.) for the arrival of the first Canadian C-17 this Il-76 departed. Both photos were taken with my EF-S 17-85, at 1/160 @ f/13 and ISO 400. The first is at 64 mm and the second at 17 mm.

They're a little dark, but I think that it works in this case. Adds a bit of "oomph" to the shot. Nice shots, Ken.

Isn't that just the weirdest thing? I never thought I'd live to see the day that former Eastern Bloc aircraft were routinely visiting NATO bases. There is one of the really, really big Antanovs that visits Nells AFB from time to time and it just is so jarring to see it on their ramp.

I like both pics, btw.
