i'm almost certain to buy a 17-85 IS from someone for £100 include p&p and a uv and polarize filter. bargain no?
the catch is the focus ring broke but focus on auto fine. i never use the focus ring on my lenses anyway.

Personally, I wouldn't touch the broken lens. You have a set of quality gear - why add a lens with a dodgy history to your collection? Could be false economy. Paul

Aug 20, 2007 13:36 | #12 Ok...............I went for the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 instead. Came to the conclusion that i probably can't sell it later but i can at least sell the Tamron should i upgrade. And F/2.8 would be nicer than 5.6 _______________
