Hey all. had a good day today the sun finally came out!
Saw this wasp today and thort something had attacked it. all but two of its legs were under its body and also both of its wings. Im glad i ddnt try to pick him up because once i disturbed the leaf it was on it unfolded and flew away.

Does anyone no why it was doing this? was it because of the wind or nething like that?

cheers all

maybe Lord V can explain.
It was possible that it was to late to return to the nest and was probally cold, rested for the night? maybe it was the wind.
I can't really think of any answer.
Other than that a great capture of the wasp.
Beautiful.

:) Canon Rebel XTi and bag full of goodies.

Good shots :). Not quite sure of the circumstances but you do get both bees and wasps that just seem to run out of steam every now and then and a have a 5 minute rest before they are off and at it again. Sometimes they do this to have a good clean up but doesn't look like that was happening here. If it didn't seem to recover- may be just one on it's last legs.
