september the 2nd or whatever.
and announced at the end of august.

what will happen to the price of the 30d second hand, and new?

what happened to the 20d when the 30 was released? anyone have any experience with this.

the reason i ask, is because i'm buying a new body on pay-day, being the end of the month.
and i ideally want the 30d -what i'm used to, shape, picture style presents, larger screen (pretty important), spot metering. all that malarky.
but, with other purchases as well. (battery grip, 17-55 is) i want to try and get some flash equipment with what i have left.
the UK prices at the minute, seem to be that i can afford that with the 20d price second hand.

so, to summarise in a question. will the 30d sell second hand for something near the 20d?

oh, and anyone upgrading from 30 to 40d, want to sell me there 30 at a really nice price?

ryan.

It would seem unlikely (at least to me) that the used 30D prices will immediately fall to used 20D levels. They're all newer cameras, it's the just-superseded model, etc. etc.

In time I'm sure the 30D secondhand prices will reach what the 20D secondhand prices are right now and after a while they'll probably be pretty near the same. Used 30Ds are always going to be higher than used 20Ds - they'd have to be, else nobody would be buying the 20Ds ;)
