I spent a long 15 straight hours with Gujustud shooting a large Asian wedding yesterday. One of the best weddings I've shot at. The reception was an amazing display of Asian youth.

1Ds Mk.II and 15mm sigma fisheye on a monopod with ballhead. 3 metre adidt remote and some sore forearms holding it up 8 feet in the air.

I'm sure there will be more to come:

Sweet. Gotta love a well-framed fishee shot! Look at all those smiles though. That's awesome. :)

I saw a video the other day, there's a guy who does more or less the same thing as you, except he actually tosses his 1DsII way up in the air. Really neat effect, although not something I'd want to try with my 20D :/

15 hours? :P I counted 17hrs on my watch :P

That is so on my 'fun' lens to buy list.

Yeah I think between both of us we got a boat load of images to go thru. I'm 'still' importing... Can't wait for the "Who says 300 2.8IS aren't a wedding lens?" thread.

hi cosworth great use of the fisheye during the "table toasting"
out of curiosity, is that hot spot on the right of the photo from your flash or someone else who shot at the same time as you?

something else made me smile in that pic...you can see another shooter with a 17-40 on the left hand side and what i take to be his feet on that side as well...,the fisheye makes him look 10 feet tall =)

Thats probably his flash. And that other shooter is me! Good eye, didn't even notice that when I first looked at the pic.

No you weren't. You were blinding that lady on the right of the photo :P

I was taking some shots during the first dance, and I was kneeled down infront of some of the crowd with my flash pointed up and slight back. After I blasted off a few flashes I hear in one ear ever so slightly by a little girl to her dad "that guys flash keeps blinding me!"

I had a chuckle and moved away from her.

Very unique shot:) Well done. Do you think it would work landscape rather than portrait? Hopefully i'm not being rude by asking.
