this is my first post in this forum,i usually post in the nature forum,this is also my first ever attempt at night shooting :D i am pleased with how this came out,hope you like it,shot with canon 30d,tamron 18-200mm lens@25.0mm,iso 100,exposure 30",on a tripod in my back garden :D thanks for looking

I would have preferred it a bit wider and brighter. Get more of the foreground in to see what the scene is, and bump up the iso to probably 400 or 800 to get a bit of colour and life in it and to bring out the stars more.

I agree ... I looked at this a few times and tried to think of something to say but Raikyn says mostly what I was thinking too.

thanks guys,i will remember your advice for next time,though the scene wasn't much,only my wooden fence but i will remember the iso advice for when i try again,also will pick a more scenic place to take it from :D

Experiment, have fun :)
If you're wanting to keep the sky as it is, which is nice in its simplicity, you could try getting a torch out and paint the foreground during the exposure.
