Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a good friend with her son. We had a tons of fun shooting at Wheaton Regional Park/ Brookside Gardens. These were just for mom to have fun, relaxed pics with her son as well as to have some bonding time.

It was extremely hard to pick my top 8 but I'd love to hear what you think of these and honorable mentions.

Thanks for looking.

1. 2 minutes in and they were already having fun - how do you guys feel about the blown out/ hot spots, does it take too much away from the image itself?

Looks like you all had a great time and you got some great images, don't sweat the small stuff like a few blown highlights ,chances are that they will never notice them.

The first two images are with the Canon 100mm 2.8 and all the rest are with the 24-105 L f4.

Thanks for the comment and idea Peano; I initially wanted to do something with that image but I decided to leave as is; didnt want to change too much of the picture. I kind of liked the darker looks to it :)

Instead of being near a fountain, get the fountain in the picture to add some life. :)

I think these are fantastic, and as a mother, I can say that the emotion in these pics speaks volumes. I love the chemistry that you captured.
Beautifully done.

Great shots. I haven't been over to the gardens in the past couple of years but used to shoot there regularly. I recognized the location instantly. Maybe it's time to revisit.
