Well not exactly, as this thread has 5 pictures. It is however, a sequel to this other rainy shoot of mine here: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=335645.

Here are the pics, thanks for viewing!

Excellent as always, the last is my favourite- is that the same spot as another of your shots?

Very cool shots. :) How do you shoot in the rain? Does the weather sealing on the L lenses and some of the camera bodies prevent water?

My favorites are 3 and 5. I liked number 4 until I saw the caption and it made me focus on the puddle when previously it was on the person :(

You are without a doubt one of few people on this forum who can make a rain puddle the main subject of a photo....successfully :p With that said, number 4 is it for me :D

Awesome as always :)

i like 4 & 5 ... i wonder what 5 would look like as BW?

only thing so so on 4 is i find myself drawn more to the person and no the puddle (assuming off your title it was more of the puddle then the person)

30D & 28-135 kit lens, 50mm F/1.8 MKII, monopod, tipod w/pan tilt head, 430EX w/ sto-fen omni bounce,

On the brown truck, due 10/26 ... 70-200 2.8L IS :D

IMHO the shot is just perfect :) It really just invokes a lot of thought like a fine painting. It's actually quite symbolic in a way :D To me, the person and the puddle compliment each other as the photo's subjects perfectly...

wow ... all these years in nyc and i never knew that chinatown could look so . . . depressing.

well not depressing really, but as someone above me said, it looks super slum-mish! (it doesn't help that chinatown really is somewhat of a slum)

if you ever saw the movie, lol.

Are you talking about the movie called Chinatown, with Jack Nicholson?

I'm also interested in whether these shots were heavily post processed. If it was raining then I could very easily believe they weren't. What I REALLY wanna know is how you shoot in the rain? Its something I have never done myself.

Thanks for the looking and the comments, guys. Adam, that was the exact same spot as the other pic. I like both :)

I think these would look even better black and white. I always love looking at NYC photography as I live here and it's a great source of inspiration.
