Hey everyone!
I'm a beginner so any feedback is appreciated.
It was really hard for me to get the squirrel in focus. If I blow it up, he becomes blurry looking. This has happened with a few of my pictures, if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks :)
Babs

Your pic is OOF (Out of Focus) You have to be aware of your Reciprocal, what I mean by that is I noticed from your exif that you were zoomed in to 235.0mm and your shutter speed was 1/60 and your ISO was set at 200.

Now if you were shooting a full frame camera like the 5D, your shutter speed would have to be at least 1/235 of a second, well as you will see on the shutter speed scale the nearest would be 1/250, unfortunately with the XT being a 1.6 Crop factor camera to safely get the equivalent you have to times your Focal length 235mm X 1.6 which equals 376mm.
So at a minimum you should be at 1/376 of a sec with your shutter seed, which is not an available choice on the camera shutter speed numbers, so round up to the next which I believe is 1/400 this is your minimum shutter speed number for that focal length.
Minimum shutter speed @ 300mm is 1/480 (real numbers = 1/500)
anything below this will result in camera shake.
Either Up your ISO to 800 (increase 2 stops) or 1600 (3 stops Noise starts being an issue) which will increase your shutter speed (2 stops) , upto 1/250, (3 stops) will put you at 1/500 or increase your ISO to 800 and open your aperture up one stop to f/4 if available, this will ultimately put you at 1/500.
other choice would be to use a tripod or a beanbag or a monopod when shooting in the shade.

The ultimate would be shooting with a full frame camera, with an f/2.8 telephoto, but that is really costly, Tripod is the way to go and increase your ISO a little.

Good luck hope this has helped
