Finally got a decent bee with the G7

Totally unplanned, I noticed the bees and snapped off about six shots. This one just happened to be about right.

Only a few centimeters. I switched to macro mode and pushed the camera down to the flower to squeeze the trigger. Since the bees were very active, I had to squeeze fast or miss them. I missed about 5 before I got this one.

Excellent shot! I am going to buy a G9 soon to replace my S3 and Sd550 , since canon decided NOT to support RAW in the S3...

Heh... :) Yes, if the exposure, white balance and focus are correct, you don't always need RAW. I wish I could say every time I pull the trigger I have those attributes in the bank, but I can't say that. :)
