I've been going through images getting them ready for the website (don't hold your breath) and I finally got around to the GCPS images. I picked out my favorite wolves to post.
Then I cut that list of 241 images down to 6 and here they are...

I live the pose of the wolf and the graduating light-dark green diagonally through the picture with the exception of the wolf who's correctly exposed (I'm not making much sense, am I?)

It looks as though the wolf is smiling for you. Or maybe at the fact that the rest of the pack is sneaking up behind you, welcoming you for, I mean to, dinner.

At a pinch then, I'm guessing that if I were close enough to frame the Wolf like you did with photo #3 with my 70-200, I would be a bit TOO close? The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

That was at a full 400mm, so I'm guessing he was fairly close. The EXIF says that the "Subject Distance" was "2030" - if that's millimeters than I was less than 7 feet away. I doubt that. I don't remember taking this particular frame, but I remember the area, and I'd say that 15 or 20 feet would be more like it.
