Hey everyone,

After 5 years of buying and selling, I finally get burned. christianlewisphotography saw my add wanting to buy Pocket Wizards, gave me a good deal, and then stopped communication after I sent the money. After doing some searching online, I found out that he's done this to several other people to the tune of thousands of dollars. I've filed a dispute with PayPal, and if that doesn't work I'll attempt to get a refund from my bank.

His email and paypal are christianlewisphotography@gmail.com (external link). I want my $600 back!

Don't fall victim like me. It's people like this that give forums a bad name.

Best wishes,

-Ben

A good lesson why on any transaction, even with local merchants, the preffered method of payment is a creditcard, not a debit card, check, cash, or money order.

I wonder if its really him or someone who phished his account. There was that phishing page here a couple of weeks ago so that could easily have happened. What was his Paypal address? Was it a Hotmail, Gmail, or the like?

That sucks. I saw this on FM also, probably yours also. This always catches up to the scammer who will end up in the slammer where he will will meet Bubba the Bammer.

Looks like this has been going on since at least the middle of July. If it wasn't him, I would guess that he would be all over the forums trying to clear this mess up.

One of my customers is located about 30 minutes from reidsville. Perhaps I could pay him a visit. What is your prefered tool and methodology: the crowbar, the pipewrench, or the subpoena? ;)
